Scheduled
From 21st March 2019 support for TLS 1.0 will be disabled. Applications and web browsers using TLS 1.0 will not be able to connect to spatial data services (SLIP) and maps when support is removed.

TLS is the acronym for Transport Layer Security; it's a protocol that encrypts and authenticates secure connections across the web.

If you are using a recent version of Chrome or Firefox, or Internet Explorer 11 to access SLIP data services and maps, then you are most likely already connecting with TLS 1.2 and will not be affected by this change.

If you would like to test the impact of this change on your applications please get in contact , UAT data services are available for testing. https://data.wa.gov.au/contact-us

For more information on TLS modernisation and what this means for you please see the data.wa.gov.au blog post 'TLS modernisation for a safer Internet' https://data.wa.gov.au/Blog/tls-modernisation-for-a-safer-internet.
