New Datasets | DMIRS Radiometrics Layers Aug 12, 2026 16:45-17:00 AWST

Please note that the following layers will be added to the SLIP Public DMIRS Imagery Service on Wednesday 12th August 2026.

• Ternary radiometrics (80m) of WA (DMIRS-105)
• Potassium radiometrics (80m) of WA (DMIRS-106)
• Thorium radiometrics (80m) of WA (DMIRS-107)
• Uranium radiometrics (80m) of WA (DMIRS-108)
• Radiometrics total count (80m) of WA (DMIRS-109)

From Thursday morning, the layers will be available in the service and URL links will be updated on Data WA.

Known Issue | Change to ArcGIS Service bbox requests
Resolved - Dear Customers,
We would like to advise of a change affecting ArcGIS REST export requests that use map extent (bounding box) parameters.

What has changed?
We have identified that some ArcGIS REST services may no longer recognise the uppercase parameter name:
BBOX=
and instead require the parameter to be specified in lowercase as:
bbox=
Requests using the uppercase parameter may fail or return errors indicating that the bounding box parameter has not been supplied.

Action required
If you are constructing ArcGIS REST requests manually or through custom applications, scripts, integrations, or third-party clients, please ensure that the bounding box parameter is supplied using lowercase:

Best practice
To maximise compatibility with current and future ArcGIS releases, we recommend using the parameter names as documented by ESRI, including:
• bbox
• bboxSR
• imageSR
• size
• dpi
• format
• layers
• transparent

Further information
Although there is no formal ESRI communication regarding this issue, the ArcGIS REST API documentation specifies the parameter as bbox (lowercase). While parameter names have historically been accepted in different cases by many ArcGIS services, customers should now use the documented lowercase parameter names to ensure consistent operation across ArcGIS environments.
