Regular Scheduled Maintenance
Sundays between 2.30pm and 7.30pm
Regular system patching will occur between 2.30pm and 7.30pm every 2nd Sunday. System patches require a restart of servers and this can disrupt services for a short period of time during these scheduled maintenance periods. Please do not schedule automated scripts to download data during this timeframe as they may be interrupted.

Support ending for TLS 1.1 Apr 21, 17:00-18:00 AWST
To ensure compliance with best practice and Landgate security protocols support for TLS 1.1 will be ending on 21/04/2021.

TLS is the acronym for Transport Layer Security; it’s a protocol that encrypts and authenticates secure connections across the web. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 were superseded by TLS 1.2 in 2008, which has now been superseded by TLS 1.3.
Most modern internet browsers no longer support TLS 1.0 and 1.1. See our 2018 blog post about TLS for more information on TLS modernisation https://data.wa.gov.au/Blog/tls-modernisation-for-a-safer-internet

What does this mean for SLIP data services? From 22/04/2021 only TLS 1.2 will be supported. Applications using TLS 1.1 will not be able to connect to SLIP data services. If you are unsure about what protocol your applications are using please check with your IT support or software vendor.

As of April 16, 2019, Esri ArcGIS Online services only accepts connections using TLS 1.2. Some software, like ArcGIS Pro, are already TLS 1.2 enabled. Other Esri software, such as ArcGIS Desktop, uses TLS 1.0—this software requires a patch or configuration change to support TLS 1.2 connections. https://support.esri.com/en/tlsproducts

Resolved - The Perth Metro service has been stable since the switch to FSx last week. This incident will now be closed, however if you do experience any issues with imagery please notify BusinessSolutions@Landgate.wa.gov.au.
Apr 7, 11:09 AWST
Monitoring - Migration to FSX has been completed and the Perth Metro service is now working again with 2020 and 2019 imagery drawing again. We will continue to monitor over the next week. There are further plans to split the Perth Metro service into two new services - before and after the year 2000. Further details will be provided when finalised.

Update - Unfortunately, performance of the Landgate Subscription Perth Metro and Perth Metro Tile imagery services continues to be degraded.

This is a result of a long standing issue with a potential fix identified of migrating all raster mosaic dataset files to a new AWS FSx solution. Production implementation has been scheduled for 15-19/03/2021.

A further updated will be provided once the change has be verified.
Mar 11, 12:39 AWST
Identified - The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented.

The Perth Metro Tile service and Perth Metro token service are available as an alternative.
